How do I get a Google Merchant account?

Google Merchant account is a place where you can upload your store and product information on Google and make it available to the users for Google online shopping. Google merchant account is also termed as an internet merchant account and it help you to do the online credit card payment processing related to the e-commerce products directly to your bank account. In order to create a Google merchant account, you need to follow these steps –

Step 1 – Select the mail that you want to use for creating your Google account. Typically, it is highly recommended to use the mail that is connected to your Google AdWords account so as to keep track on a single email address for all your Google Shopping account.

Step 2 – Now you have to click on the sign up button and have to connect your Google account with the merchant account.

Step 3 – Go to the left side menu and click on the “Settings” option.

Step 4 – From the left side menu, click on the “Payment settings” option.

Step 5 – Now click on the “Setup a merchant account” option so as to create the Google merchant account.

Step 6 – Type in your business information and then click on the “Sumit” button.

So, these are the steps by the help of which one can create a Google account.

Once you have created your Google merchant account, now you can connect it to your AdWords account. In order to connect it you have to navigate to the dropdown menu in the top right corner of the page by clicking on the three dots. From this dropdown you need to select the “Account Linking” option. You will then be shown a suggestion to link the Google AdWords account that is already linked to your email with your Google account.

If you are using a separate email address for your Google Merchant account, then you will have to simply click on the “Link Account” option near the bottom of the page and have to enter your AdWords ID. The next step you have to do is to verify your website on Google Merchant account. This is done by navigating to the business information tab on the left column and then selecting the “Website” you are using.
